Offline sets update. we have been trying to get everyone into the habit
of high attack, then damage for offline sets. we have spent at least a
thousand gvg statement jan 2010 668946
trying to get these kind of sets and forging them. now these sets are
not 100% effective-no set is.... but we know how these sets operate...
they need ke and dc then EW and EA then rest of the gvg defense buffs-
and they work well, if you are in a def set or have poor attack then
these buffs will do you no good and the guild no good...
We will
list some setups for different levels in the forum that have good
potential. if you want to tinker with your offline set- you need
first-very high attack most of all then damage. def and armor matter
little when you start spreading stats around. if you are online , then
you can switch to armor or def sets to throw off an attacker.
it is
pretty easy to get enough def on to stop a low attack stat from a
player and get through their defense at the same time. , 200 level
players need attack in 3k range,300 levels, need attack in 4k range,
level 400 players need attack in 5000 range. your setup needs to
reflect this...
we look for players that have less than 3k in attack
and no multiple sets for ke buff, or mix their stats in attack, def and
armor, those are the players we go after in a gvg, and gvgers will go
after these setups within our own guild also...
most of our sets
also work around the 'first strike' enhancement where an attacking
players forfeits their first hit and we get to hit first.. now if you
dont have high attack then getting the first hit in will not matter at
all as your opponent should be running some kind of partial defense at
the same time. but a high attack can get through their defense giving
us a much needed one or two kills in and offer us the chance to win in
our return hits...
if you dont go with first strike then you should
be able to get your attack up even higher in most setups and multiple
sets on with ke buff will also increase attack stats.
205-225 sets
fozdon
set, lezhal set, zeri ring, revenant helm, boots, gloves or you can go
for marpolo gloves for extra attack. the rev items have to be FF to get
max 'first strike' enhancement.
225 to 275
switch to yellow spine set- helm and ring.
275 to 290
yellow spine set, the horned gods set, witches cats eye shield(FF) wechal armor, althur blade and pinala boots.
290 to 325
demonic set(FF) horned gods set yellow spine helm, elirham boots (lvl292) or keep the pinala boots.
325 to 375
switch to ursa helm at 325
switch to styillpon boots at lvl 345
375 to 415
forest set, pharoahs set, butrale amulet, styillpon boots
415 and up
doth blade set, sarabaite set, yellow spine set, dazmorr armor, butrale amulet, enscribed rune of whintol

alternative set from 352 to 375.
demonic set, atrona gloves, ursa helm, butrale amulet, styillpon boots, enscribed rune of whintol

these are guild approved sets- if you want to make changes please see a gvg council member first, spidey, thomas or brad.

If
you are the only one on and you see the 'to arms! so and so has
intiated a guild conflict with you' then take a few minutes to look at
their members to see who is doing the attacking. often it will be the
person who initiated the conflict but not always. look through their
members and see which ones are buffed for pvp. they will have those pvp
buffs but will not have adept learner, bookworm, and doubler or
leveling buffs... this is often your attacker. then take +/- 25 levels
of his/her level and that is the level range they can attack members in
our guild... write those players down in our guild and post into chat
that these are our members we need to defend.... so we can start to get
buffs on them, most of all ke, dc,ew,ea then last ditch, deflect, force
shield and all the others that matter. Feel free to go to homepage and buy dc and ke once you know who the
targets are and if you are the only one online or at least post in chat the targets so when a
buffer comes online, they can get buffs on right away.
also ALL member should have a
repaired offline set when they get into it to go offline. you can look
at their sets and see if they are taking damage, ie durability loss for
instance their armor will show 158/160 meaning they are taking damage,
which helps tell they are getting hit.

now we all have plenty of
members that want to do gvg's, but also the overlooked side is
defending. we need players online for 24hrs after we do gvgs to stop
return attacks or all our effort, buffs and stam are wasted. we may do
gvgs only on certain days when we have defenders available with ke, dc,
ew, ea and the other defense buffs that are available and can check in
frequently. this is utmost important especially if we missed once or
twice in one of our initiated gvgs. we still highly value our gvg guild
ranking and want to keep it up there as one of our guild mission goals.
we lose lots of points if we lose to a lower rated guild and we can not
afford to do that often. so remember defending is as if not more
important than getting the attacks in then leaving and not checking in
for next 24 hrs and leaving the clean up work to someone else... help
the guild and the guild helps you, this is true for all of us.
addendums:
inactives players of 7 days can not be currently hit in a gvg.
players have to be within 25 levels of your vl or virtual level not their current actual level.
Guild will try its best to supply you with an approved set if you can not afford one. if you are able to supply a few of the pieces or do some of the forgings then this will assist us greatly in getting everyone in sets and eventually all sets can be handed down from level to level once this is accomplished. If you do get approval for a non-guild set then we expect it to be forged completely and you are online to keep it buffed if it requires special buffing, like constitution and so forth, that really is not needed with most of our offline sets.
We may also initiate a little game where if you go offline for over an hour in a hunting set or tourney set and not in your offline set and the first member to post that in chat that catches you gets 25k gold from you to them. sound fun?
There can be updates to this covering any typos and so forth. thank you for your time and 'TO ARMS!' we shall go, brad

Thanks brad , having a quick reference for approved offline sets will be helpfull , and again for stressing the importance of defending gvg is to maintain KoT4W on top of the ladder these days as so many guilds are taking on GvG with greedy RP item sales on their minds

with GvG's about to ramp up again a reminder for all to be sure to check that they are in an approved set and then be sure log off wearing it and repairs done is what was needed to get us all back in the habit again before we take "To arms"

only problem with the sets you want for my range. when i was using it for about a week.. i defended quite a few hit. it is a good set if it has KE but without it... its basically useless and if a guild is serious about GvG they will usually wait till we are all offline. so for now im going to use a basic high attack/ moderate damage set... till i can use pharaohs set :\
